The STARGATE project, through the partners Universidade Católica Portuguesa (UCP) and the Wageningen University & Research (WR), is organising a WINTER School entitled ‘Post-harvest training’ on the 14th and 15th of December 2022. The Winter School will be held at the building of the School of Biotechnology (ESB) / Centre for Biotechnology and Fine Chemistry (CBQF), Porto, Portugal.
Hybrid Format | 14th and 15th of December 2022: face-to-face activities. Additional online lectures will be provided for self-study.
Target group | 25 early-stage researchers (ESRs), Technical and Scientific Community. Fifteen (15) places are available for Portuguese ESRs, subject to confirmation.
Aims | To learn the basic principles behind the factors and processes affecting postharvest quality and understand the value of postharvest technologies and quality monitoring for maintaining postharvest quality and reducing losses.
Fees | The workshop includes lunch. Travel and accommodation costs are free of charge for ESRs belonging to STARGATE partner organisations. Participants of other institutions have a registration cost of 50€. A certificate will be provided.
