The STARGATE WINTER School entitled “Post Harvest training” was organised by partners Centro de Biotecnologia e Quimica Fina – Universidade Católica Portuguesa and Wageningen University & Research (WR). This training, with face-to-face activities and additional online lectures provided for self-study, had 13 registration among young scientists from CBQF and IPK and the Technical and Scientific community. UCP and WR managed it under Dr Ernst J. Woltering and Dr Rob Schouten’s supervision.
This 2-days face-to-face training was held at the Escola Superior de Biotecnologia (UCP) facilities in Porto, Portugal. It covered several sessions to learn the basic principles behind the factors and processes affecting postharvest quality and understand the value of postharvest technologies and quality monitoring for maintaining postharvest quality and reducing losses.
